K9 Capers Day - 11th September 2016
Thank you to everyone who came along to the fun dog show on Sunday 11th September 2016! This is the salon's 9th annual charity fundraising day and the event raised funds for Jerry Green Rescue Centre so thank you again to everyone who came along and who took part.
A big BOW WOW thank you goes to Alex Schofield of Let's Go Dog Training for the very difficult job of being a fabulous judge again this year! There are so many wonderful dogs and their families it is so, so hard to pick winners and this is an unenviable task but Alex did a fantastic job. Marisa Schofield Photography took photos. I have added some photos to a gallery below but to view all the photos, please go to Marisa Schofield Photography page on Facebook.
Thank you also goes to Clare Harrison of Well Connected Canine for providing a scent work demonstration with her dog Poppy. I was blessed with amazing helpers:- Joan and Hannah for looking after the refreshments, Clark and Claire for handling the raffle tickets and biscuits in a jar competition, Nicki and Nick of Dog Tired who helped out in lots of ways and were a fabulous two pairs of spare hands, Louise who did the balloons and various other jobs and last but not least Emma and Stephanie of Jerry Green Rescue who had the busy job of taking the entries for the classes. My heart felt thanks goes to each and every one of them!
Thank you to Duncan Cook of Decorating by Duncan Cook for donating the Judge's Favourite trophy and the amazing sponsors for sponsoring rosettes. The sponsors are Dawnay Farm Christmas Trees, Ridings Removals, Scammell Interiors, Dog Tired, EDIP Fly Fishing, Abbotsway Boarding Kennels, Jasmine Walker, Stanley & Dudley Thompson, Humphrey & Wolfy.
The final total for the event came to an amazing and jaw-dropping £461 - thank you again to all the wonderful people and dogs who came along on the day because without you, the day wouldn't have been such a great success!
