PET OWNERS COURSE
There has been an explosion of breeds being crossed with poodles (with the most common beting CockaPoo, CavaPoo, ShiPoo and so on. For a first time pet parent of these breeds, the coat can present a lot of difficulty. This course is aimed at pet parents who wish to keep their high maintenance breeds in a longer style but in order to achieve this, your new best friend needs to have regular maintenance in between regular professional appointments.
Spend a morning or afternoon in a one-on-one session with your pet to set a good routine in place going forward. Not only is this beneficial in keeping your dog matt free but regular handling will make necessary grooming and vet appointments much less stressful for your dog.

GROOMING ASSISTANT COURSE - 10 Day Course
Thinking of working in a grooming salon and would like to be a Grooming Assistant? This comprehensive course would be beneficial to anyone thinking of becoming a Grooming Assistant. There is no final examination but you will be appraised overall. An inhouse certificate will be awarded on successful completion of formal units learning how to prepare a dog for bathing, bathing and product selection, drying techniques, handling difficult dogs, keeping your workstation clean, ear cleaning and nail clipping, record keeping, health and safety in the salon. Get the edge over other applicants by building a portfolio of photographs and notes to present at an interview. Enjoy one-on-one tuition. Apart from the course fee, there will be no personal outlay as use of grooming gown, waterproof apron and notebooks will be provided for the duration of the course as is full use and instruction on salon equipment. However, you should wear comfortable clothing and flat shoes as there will be a lot of standing involved. The course can run consecutively for 10 days Monday to Friday or one day per week for 10 weeks and you would be expected to attend between 9.30 and 4pm (no course days are available during December).
